This module deals with concepts of pure science for primary teachers. This module should equip the teachers with all the basic knowledge and skills to teach primary science curriculum effectively with confidence. Teachers should be able to instill in students the positive attitudes to learning science.
This module has been developed with the aim of exposing the trainee teachers to different resources in teaching and assessment in social studies. Therefore it will equip the trainee teachers to effectively design and develop various resources and assessment techniques for teaching social studies content.
Learning Outcomes: By the completion of this module, trainee teacher will be able to:

- State reason for need to use variety of teaching aids
- Design and develop teaching aids
- Define assessment
- Design types of assessment
- Design different types of assessment schemes (CFA and SA).

This is an entirely course based module. You will be assessed on the following basis:

III. Presentation 35%
IV. Major Assignment 50%

This module on Understanding Environmental Geography explores and examines environmental values related to our lives. It focuses on the theoritical study of Geography as a study of Human Ecology, study of Ecosystem from geographical perspective and environmental perception of hazards-natural and anthropogenic.
It also attempts to provide focus on wider issues related to people and places and hope to promote better understanding of the process and patterns that have emerged by the ineterplay of different forces.
